The game features story-based missions, quests, free world exploration, enemies to fight, and the ability to interact with and terraform the environment. Many gameplay elements and features, such as items, enemies, and planets, use procedural generation in order to provide a variety of content. Players can navigate, explore and mine procedurally-generated terrain (left) to gather resources and create settlements, including constructing houses and leasing rooms to NPC tenants and villagers (right). The interior of the ship is also fully customizable, with items and blocks able to be freely placed within the ship.Įxploration and settlement gameplay in Starbound. The space shuttle acts as the player's vehicle while exploring the galaxy, containing a teleport pad the player can use to teleport down to the planets the shuttle is visiting, a ship locker for storing items, a fuel panel for refueling the ship and a cockpit for piloting the ship. The main tool of this mod is the painting tool, DatAnnoyingCatFanboy came to the idea that it would save a lot of recorces and space to combine different block designs Into one paintable block Those blocks are made with ores at the workbench, and are based on the initial cutscene of the game. We saw many people asking for some type of protectorate block in their buildings, and now you can have it too! This small yet useful mod is a collaboration by two dudes to finally get proper protectorate blocks in starbound! Disclaimer: This mod DOES NOT includes any recipes for Protectorate furniture nor it adds any Protectorate themed furniture objects.
